What in the hell makes you think I don't on an active basis?
Blake is possibly coming back, if I had that title thingy people seem to like so much I was going to give him a shot or something...
Cloud, KC James, Kyzer are ones I haven't seen in a while and the other old fuckers are playing with Tripsy...
Oh and I think Dozer is dead

I havent contacted anyone because I dont have anyone left on my AIM who was in RW or another Efed. I think what we need is a way of finding new blood, rather than trying to bring out old guys.

If anyone talks to Blake, tell him he can have a shot at my title any time. I'd love to get in the ring with him again. I agree with Trash we need new blood as much as possible. I tried to work with a system of feds that are in an alliance online but unfortunately they'd only grant us 'affiliate' status which means our banner and link gets put in some out of the way corner of their website. We weren't able to advertise or take part in transfers and stuff that happen within their community, which could have been handy. If anyone knows of or takes part in other feds, maybe they could send out feelers about some kind of talent exchange. I wouldn't mind, for instance, handing over DreamKiller or Trash for a card and getting a new guy in return, just to spice things up for everyone and maybe generate some larger angles. I'd be happy to deal with Trips and his fed, for instance, or a totally new group.
The efed scene might seem a bit dry these days but new blood certainly seems to be out there. We've had a couple of new talents crop up in Brutal Mirror and Colt Winchester that gives me hope that new players with a bit of talent and the patience to learn to play can be found. I'd love to see these guys running amok with the several title reigns and crazy escapades under their belts in a few years, like latter day Aaron Holidays. This game can be very rewarding and satisfying when you're having fun with good people, and I really don't want to see it die before new players get the chance to live the highs we vets have.

yeah, i can look around on advertising websites and try to get us put up after i do the visual overhaul. I've tried to recruit from Trips efed but ran into two big problems...one they do a completley different styles (the old gfeds ways) where they ONLY write progession roleplays and no match action. Alot of people there dont' like writing matches, and 2 REW doesn't have a good rep with them. All they've seen of it is the small spurts of activity the dead for days periods and at one time (not anymore thanks to JMW) the people who shouldn't have beaten others for title ect when they didn't either 1, give the effort to win or 2 just no out rp their opponent period.
I would try to get ole PsYcho back but he's about to or allready retired from efedding because he had another child. Trips probably won't come, i had him here for like 2 days but like is said above....he backed out. The rest of the comunity there doesn't like our roleplay style.

Oh and no Holiday your Daddy isn't dead lol. The last I heard from trips was that he was thinking of coming back, but not as Dozer.

I never got on well with Dozer because our perspective on the game was totally incompatible, but if he ever turned up he'd be a welcome addition to the roster. Assuming he doesn't decide the only way to have fun is to stop anyone else having fun and run them out. I hate to be what some might call boring, but there were some things about the old days that I do not much miss, least of all the head-hunting mentality of victory by bullying someone to the point they stopped wanting to play. Not that I'm trying to imply Dozer was all bad or even the worst for this, we had our fun in the GFed version of RW and I think a couple of good matches.
I can see why we don't have a great reputation with Trips' fed, and I think there was a bit of a rivalry for a period as well, but perhaps our run of decent activity lately might help change some minds. It is unfortunate though that they and pretty much everyone else in this game lately seem to be turning away from doing match action. I'm part of a fed on a forum elsewhere that I'm finding pretty difficult to keep an interest in because all we do are backstage interviews or random vignettes of meaninglessness. This is supposed to be wrestling, right? That's part of what caused all the kerfuffle with Phantom, but perhaps I jumped the gun with him somewhat. If the roleplaying community is largely disinterested in playing at wrestling and more interested in developing colourful characters, should we adapt in response to that? Should we become more fantastical and wild, like many GFeds? If we were to have a referendum tomorrow I'd vote to stick to our guns, since I really do hope to preserve our version of the game, but I think it's a fair and open question as to whether or not preserving it is really practical in the long term.
New guys like Colt, Phantom and Brutal Mirror, if you guys are reading this we'd like to know your thoughts. How did you end up here, what drew you, and do you feel this style of play is workable or enjoyable?

well i always done this style of RP'ing this is how i made a name in the fed world and we are the elite we can do the trash talking and the action too. more feds should be like ours.
we had some of the best rp's around like Icon, Blake, Jaxson, Aaron, T Money . but yeah we have a style like no others with i have ground to love.

I love seeing the pride in REW, but we're not the elite lol. Maybe if we can get more then 3-4 constant active ringers then yeah..we're the elite. I have alot of ideas and to be honest id like to run my own efed, but I think my time would be better spent in trying to help REW then start my own...maybe one day...I can rise a Mutiny (R.I.P) against JMW lol.
I would love to get some of the NEW guys over here...great people...GREAT roleplayers and one of thier best in my opinion was interested in trying a RW style of roleplay match against me before i dissapeared. So there was an interest sparked. But before we try any drastic changes like roleplay styles (because to be honest we use both now if the match gets past an entrance) we need to pick up more activity.
So this is an idea that I'll throw out...guys and not to pick on but my mind is headed to Sara..Icy..Phoenic (lol) right now...if you don't have time to rp...ask for time off isntead of throwing up crap just not to No-Show. It doesn't help the fed...it just hurts it. When you all roleplay or do stuff like this...it doesn't just make you look bad....it makes REW look bad. And pointing a finger at myself for this one as well and JMW and Trash said the same thing...stupid bickering really needs to stop. The no.1 thing that will keep people from joining an efed is if they take a look and there is drama. There for we really need to tighten up the reigns on drama starters. Who cares if they are good or active....keeping people like that around hurts you more. It's like the good roleplays they put up may take you two steps forward but the drama will take you 6 steps back.
So I myself will keep the OOC drama out, if i have an issue ill just bring it to you in whispers instead of OOC boards. OOC boards should really be used to help one another and further the fed as well as just a friendly outlet for everyone.
There is more id like to put but im running out of time and need to run a couple errands, guys lets stop worrying about what just makes our characters look good and worry more on what makes REW look good.

Fortunately OOC drama is rare here; I cannot even recall the last time we had a blow-up like that. It's unfortunate you turned up only shortly before seeing us at our ugliest, but it is something we definitely need to nip in the bud as soon as it starts to bubble to the surface.
I was thinking of overhauling the rules soon. We have a very relaxed approach but I worry that some new people might feel a bit adrift without guidelines, and that may have played into recent problems, so something more solid and up to date we can all point to might let everyone see where they stand. But I don't want to step on people's toes, this isn't my baby after all, so I'll be discussing that with the staff and keeping the rest of you informed. I don't plan on anything ridiculous, no subsections and paragraphs and complex clauses, just a few simple rules so that we all can cooperate and work together to make enjoyable angles and matches.
Of course the main issue is, as you say, activity. I think it might help to start out at least knowing our baseline, so I am going to try to find out exactly how many people consider themselves with us and able to post on a frequent basis.

John, for your ease of mind possibly I have the copies or can get the copies of the rules in the original Ring Wars so you can tweek them.
Trust me, writing rules and gudelines seems easy until you start doing them and then they're a pain in the ass.
