As REW St. Valentine's Day Massacre continues the truck loses feed. The fans at home who've paid to view the event now see nothing but dead air. Somewhere John Michael White begins simultaneously shitting his pants and running around frantically trying to figure out what exactly has transpired. After what seems like an eternity a voice can be faintly be made out through the sound of wasted dollars and snowy television screens. The feed slowly begins a reversion to life. Only the REW ring is not on the screen. Instead however a young man with a buzzed head and sunglasses appears on screen. He's wearing a Four Horseman t-shirt and a grin from ear to ear.
The Gentleman - "Twenty-six years ago. Twenty-six years ago four men unified synchronically to form the most prevailing, the most notorious, the most illustrious contingent the wrestling business has ever had the honor of witnessing. I speak of course of the Four Horsemen. Ole and Arn Anderson! Ric Flair! And "The Midnight Stallion" Tully Blanchard. "
The young man pauses to catch his breath as a clip of the four legendary names he just mentioned begins rolling. The clip begins with Ole Anderson going for his patented diving knee drop on Robert Gibson of the Rock N Roll Express only problem is Gibson sees it coming and rolls out of the way Ole rises back to his feet and Double Drop Kick from both members of the R & R Express. Gibson covers Ole for the one two three. A sad day for sure for the Horseman.
The next scene begins with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson in the ring. Across from him none other than "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. It's quite the back and forth battle as Arn finally gets the upper hand on "the son of a plumber" Arn whips Dusty into the ropes and he nails the infamous Anderson Spinebuster. Arn with the cover but "The Dream" kicks out. Anderson lifts Rhodes back to his feet and goes for another Irish Whip only to have it reversed and Anderson's skull connects cleanly with a Bionic Elbow and a victory for Dusty Rhodes.
The Gentleman - "Wait a second! Wait a second! Does any one see a pattern starting here? Ehh on to the next clip. WOOOOOOOO! "
Of course the next clip is a highlight of "The Man". Not just any man but "The Man", "The Nature Boy" Rick Flair. The date of the match at hand September 25th 1987. Flair is defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against "Rugged" Ron Garvin. Despite all Flair's crafty tricks Garvin just seems to have his number. After is was said and done there was no controversy however there was a new WCW Champion as Garvin defeated Flair.
The Gentleman - "Weren't the Four Horseman supposed to be synonymous with greatness. It seems like those three men where nothing but overrated hacks who sucked their way to the top. However there was a shining light in the mix. The man who should've been the leader of the group. The man who would've been the WCW World Heavyweight Champion had it not been for Ric Flair lips being so far up the promoters ass. I'm of course speaking of Tully Blanchard. Roll the footage! "
Multiple clips of Blanchard defeating the like of Barry Windham, Magnum TA, Dustin Rhodes, etc. begin rolling. Tons of shots of Tully connecting with the piledriver for the victory. A clip of Tully and Arn as tag champions. A caption pops up at the bottom of the screen reading "WCW Tag Team Champions of the World Tully Blanchard and Ar...eh who really cares who his partner is?". The clip ends with Tully's 2009 induction into the NWA Hall Of Fame.
The Gentleman - "As you all just witnessed the Four Horseman were nothing more than three spotlight addicts feening for greatness while one athlete was busy truly achieving it. The one athlete being my father Tully Blanchard. And myself being born into such a fine lineage intend to carry on the greatness here in Rarely Entertaining Wrestling. "
The gentleman removes his sunglasses and smiles for the camera. The smile then turns into a look of detest for anyone and everyone viewing the program and even those not.
The Gentleman - ""The Vandal" Bayze Blanchard is here in REW. It's time to ride again! "
Bayze throws up the Four Horseman sign as the video feed fades and goes back to the regularly scheduled crock of shit taking place in the ring.
