The scene opens up in the Dark Cathedral where Freakula has been residing in for quite some time now. He sits upon his throne made of skulls and bones. His glowing lilac eyes can be seen from a distance in the darkness that shrouds him. Evil laughter can be heard echoing through the halls of this place, pews are stacked in rows surrounding his throne. Suddenly, there is banging on the door leading into his sanctuary of despair. The big double wooden doors screech open and in walks Niko Cade from the REW with her brother Harvey Madison.
They both come into my Sanctuary where I sit upon my throne, my eyes staring into the darkness, shutting my eyes and everything out of my mind, I see them both in my head as they walk up to where the Altar would be. I slowly and quietly place my hands onto my legs, moving my head ever so slightly. I slowly open up my eyes peering around me, I see Niko and smell her perfume. I catch a sweet smell, from her as she passes by me. Harvey scouts around in the dark with his camera light on, still not seeing anything in this run down Cathedral.
Harvey: What makes you think that he is even in here Niko, no one has heard anything from him in quite awhile now. Come on! Niko you expect me to believe that we can find “The Monster” in here?
Niko: The reporters were to terrified to come in here Harvey. You are going to have to man up if you are ever going to make it in these situations. So come on and keep filming and make sure you cut on your Night Vision so that you can see you dumb ass. Mom must have dropped you on your head when you were young, I swear you are about as dumb as a bag of rocks.
Harvey peers around with his video camera in his hands and then hears something coming up from behind him. Harvey spins around, but he doesn’t see anything so he goes back to filming around him and sees a huge Throne sitting in the middle of this Sanctuary. The throne is made from what appears to be human bones and skulls. Harvey gulps, as sweat begins to pour from his brow, Niko comes up from behind her brother and grabs the back of his shirt. Harvey lets out a scream and pisses himself right then and there.
Niko: Oh that is disgusting you just pissed yourself and screamed like a little girl. Damn I got you good Bro. You really need to change your clothes though. I can’t believe you actually pissed yourself off of that Harvey. (laughing)
Harvey: That isn’t fucking funny Niko I swear to Christ that is not funny. Look I see nothing how the hell are we suppose to get a story with “The Monster” if we can’t even find him. It’s like he doesn’t even exist anymore.
Evil laughter can be heard coming from a nearby wall where Darkness surrounds just one corner of the room. Harvey brings his camera up and stares through the screen not being able to see through the darkness. Inside the darkness stands a figure, the light on the camera just barely passes through the darkness. Harvey only catches a short glimpse of the figure standing in the darkness, before the camera’s light dies. The laughter slowly fades away and Harvey is standing right beside Niko, shaking.
Niko: Are you kidding me why are shaking now Harvey? Harvey pulls yourself together.
Harvey: Niko look what I saw in the darkened corner over that way. (Harvey rewinds the tape and plays it only show Niko what he caught. All Harvey caught was just a glimpse of this beings eye and half of his face that had a huge X carved into one side of his head.) What the hell is that Niko?
Niko: I don’t know but do you think that it could be… (Gulp!)
Mysterious Voice: Well if it isn’t Niko Cade and her big fat idiot brother Harvey. I see that you have been looking for me why have you come to my Sanctuary? Is it because you want to ask for forgiveness? Or is it to bow to my feet and become apart of my Legion.
Niko: We are the ones asking the questions here. Who are you and what are you?
Mysterious Voice: Wrong! It’s the other way around I am the one asking the questions you have entered my Sanctuary without my permission. I will let you ask your questions under one condition Niko.
Niko: What condition is that?
Mysterious Voice: If you will come to me by your own free will.
Niko: Okay I think that I can mutter up enough courage to do that, but I have one condition as well.
Mysterious Voice: Let me guess you wish to see my face and you wish for me to…
Niko: How did you know?
Mysterious Voice: My dear Niko I know everything about you, without having to know you. I am the one that is darkness. I am the controller of all the darkness in this world. Now come to me Niko Cade.
Niko comes to the darkened portion of the area where Harvey caught the small glimpse of the face on his camera. As Niko approaches the area candles surrounding the figure and his throne catch fire revealing a little light. Niko stands in the lightened area, waiting for me to come into view. I step out of the darkness into the light with my eyes closed, I slowly open them up looking deep into Niko’s eyes. Niko gulps once again.
Niko: You can’t be him he is dead. How is this possible?
Darkened Figure: I can be him because I am him, this is my true form. Everyone at the REW thinks that the Monster is nothing more than a mere mortal. But they are wrong! You see Niko I have been gone for quite some time now, and I have come back as rightfully as what I should have a long time ago. I am the Darkness’s Reincarnated Beast. I am the “Dark One” Freakula.
Niko: What have I done? I am going to take it all back please I don’t want this.
I reach my hand out and brush a piece of hair to the side of her neck. I then place my hand onto her shoulders and stare deep into her eyes Niko lets out a roaring scream in pain as she hits the ground.
Freakula: It’s okay Niko you don’t have be afraid anymore, you will have the power before it is all over with. Harvey will be back in any minute now, and you will not remember any of this until you become partly like me. Your creator, I will be waiting for you to turn to the right side. You can leave everything behind including your brother that just keeps dragging you down.
Within an instant I fade back into the darkness… Harvey comes rushing to Niko’s side. Harvey lifts Niko’s head up only to see what appears to be a small tattoo on the side of her neck. Not thinking about it Harvey just forgets about it and helps her out of the Dark Cathedral. As they get outside Niko opens up her eyes and the color fades from them and they begin to glow a snow like white. Niko opens up her hands to reveal a folded up piece of paper and she hands it to Harvey. Harvey unfolds the piece of paper to only see it has been written in blood. “I am coming back and the darkness is coming with me. So prepare yourselves all of you.”
