Battles for Glory Known... and Unknown...
KOK Final Round Match
T Money vs. Fallen One
This is the deciding match, folks. The winner of this bout will face DreamKiller at our Justice PPV for his King of Kings Title. T Money, member of the once dominant and now formally disbanded force that was the Regulators, fighting against Fallen One who is a loyal servant in The Dark Lord's Army of Darkness. No need to state the implications of this match, this fight looks to be the hands-down match of the night.
Whew! What a match! These two took each other to the edge and then effectively jumped off that thing, this match was that heated. For the first time in a while though, T meets his match in what one could possibly call an upset of sorts. But hey, when you're opponent can snap his neck in and out of place at will, you're already at a disadvantage...
T Money (2.5 + 3.0 + 3.5 + 3.0 + 3.5)= [15.5] vs. Fallen One (3.5 + 4.0 + 3.0 + 3.5 + 4.0 + 3.5)= [21.5]
WINNER: Fallen One
Ref: Chase Evans
Mysterious Tournament: Round 2, Match 1
Jonny Corrigan vs. Freakula
Lovely thing about my Mysterious Tournament, is that it can surprise you. Instead of facing off against Dolla Billa as prescribed would happen from the last card, I've decided to put Freakula up against the only man besides Blake Worship to turn down the Army of Darkness and live to tell about it, Jonny Corrigan. Guess they have more in common than they thought... let's see if Jonny's still got what it takes to "Just say no"...
Freakula made some effort, but this wasn't much of a contest...
Jonny Corrigan (3.5 + 3.5)= [7] vs. Freakula (3.0)= [3]
WINNER: Jonny Corrigan
Ref: Chase Evans
Mysterious Tournament: Round 2, Match 2
Double-D's!
Dolla Billa vs. Danny Destiny
Dolla had a lot to say about his opponents last week and how pathetic they were for not showing. Perhaps he was right about them, who knows. They won't be on any cards for awhile, that's for sure. But, he seems to forget that last time he was booked to fight the red flame-haired Danny Destiny, he himself was too pollo to show up. Word is Destiny doesn't like being stood up, and after his hard-fought battle in a losing effort to Fallen One last week, there's no doubt he's probably pissed. Prema-Dolla might want to hope Danny doesn't have TOO much pent-up anger to unleash in this fight... But just in case Danny goes ballistic, Jayson Ray will be referee for this match, just to be safe...
Guess Danny thought he'd return Dolla the favor and stand him up this week. Just, probably could have picked a better match to do it in...
Dolla Billa (3.0 + 3.0)= [6] vs. Danny Destiny (0)= [0]
WINNER: Dolla Billa
Special Guest Ref: Jayson Ray
Chilling Thoughts...
Icy Cold vs. DreamKiller
The Dark Lord is a slayer of dreams, and REW's possible new girl is as cold as ice. Some might think this could be a lamb to the slaughter-type deal, and they could be right. But if Icy can hold her own against The Fantasy Assassin (take it, Dream, it's yours), then she can prove she can hang with anybody here. Could either be a massacre or an upset, but either way it should be good.
In the end The Dark Lord was just a bit hotter than Ms. Icy could take...
Icy Cold (3.0)= [3] vs. DreamKiller (3.5 + 3.0)= [6.5]
WINNER: DreamKiller
Ref: Kyra
Pretty nice card. No real close contests but most everyone showed effort and that's what I like to see. You all may have noticed that there were scores above each match's winner announcement...
For those of you who remember CWA back in Ring Wars, former champion ringer Tony Gamble became CWA commissioner for awhile and changed the look of running a fed. He took years of feedback on what ringers disliked about commissioners and incorporated it into his stint as commish, from being involved in RPing with the ringers (which as you can see I'm trying to do) to the manner in which bouts are scored. As a player under his reign, I plan to utilize his system here in REW.
So, from now on, everyone will see how I score your matches. I will even be doing my best to read matches, give scores and minor post commentary all DURING the card, so ringers have an idea how they're doing so far in a match. Scores are given in increments of .5 on a scale from 0-4. No commish should hide behind a veil of secrecy about how they decide a match... *cough*POSH!*cough*... and I won't do that anymore, either. Don't like your scores? State your case to me in a PM, and I will listen and take your concerns into account.
I don't want to be presumptious in thinking all will like this system, though I can't see why you wouldn't. Still, feedback is appreciated, whether in OOC or in a PM. Though if you like the system, don't give me credit. I'm simply emulating a once great commissioner. You can thank me for using his system, but nothing more than that. I'm simply the emulator, not the innovator...
Next card will see the deciding match in the Mysterious Tournament, as well as the fresh challenge match for T Money by our newest ringer, the sassy Capricorn. You won't want to miss it!
Good Luck!
